Olympiakos won the Greek Championship

Although Olympiakos lost the first game in Athens he finally managed to take the championship.
This is the 26th championship in Olympiakos history. Olympiakos take straight-set victories three times in a row against Pamvochaikos. The Bulgarian left handed diagonal Boyan Yordanov was voted as the MVP of the championship.

16.04.2013: Olympiakos – Pamvochaikos 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 31-29)
19.04.2013: Pamvochaikos - Olympiakos: 0-3 (19-25, 20-25, 17-25)
20.04.2013: Pamvochaikos - Olympiakos: 0-3 (17-25, 23-25, 14-25)
On Saturday Foinikas Syrou also won 3-0 (25-16, 25-22, 25-16) the team of Aris Thessalonikis. Syro's team secured the fifth position and grab the chance to participate in European championships for the next year. Except Olympiakos, Pamvochaikos and Syros, the teams of PAOK Thessalonikis and Ethnikos Alexandroupolis had won European tickets.
At the bottom of the standings Milonas and Panathinaikos will participate in the second division championship for the next year. We have to mention that Panathinaikos is trying to stay in the Volleyleague although he had lost in the play-out. At the begining Athens team in cooperation with ESAP had tried to extend the play-out section, now Panathinaikos is trying to influence the athletic court decision for Iraklis. The truth is that Iraklis participation in Volleyleague has nothing to do with Panathinaikos participation. Next month ASEAD (a Greek athletic court) will decide if Iraklis Thessalonikis will continue to participate in Volleyleague Championship for the next year.
