The 17th edition of the FIVB Men’s World Championship being currently staged in Italy is writing history and for a few reasons. This is indeed the very first time that a World Championship is being played across a total of 10 different venues that are spanned all over the beautiful Italian peninsula, from the “Olympic” mountains of Turin to the sandy beaches of Sicily. The real Volleyball highlight of the year – whose first round came to a close on Monday night – is also being blessed by full houses with many foreign fans having resumed to Italy to cheer for their respective heroes in what is actually a very long quest for gold.
