Poland’s Marcel Gromadowski recently signed a one-year contract with
Greece’s Iraklis THESSALONIKI. An experienced player, although he is
still 26 years of age, Gromadowski moves to Greece from Poland where he
spent the last season playing for AZS Olsztyn. In the past Gromadowski
defended the colors of France’s PARIS Volley, Italy’s Volley BOLOGNA and
Copra PIACENZA, and Poland’s Mostostal-Azoty KEDZIERZYN-KOZLE, SMS PZPS
SPALA and Gwardia WROCLAW.
As Iraklis joins the 2012 CEV Volleyball Champions League, the roster of the Greek club was additionally strengthened with the addition of Cuban Rolando Despaigne. He will be eligible to play for Iraklis in the national league as well as in the European Cups starting from next January 1, 2012. Despaigne played last year for Olympiacos winning the national league and cup always by seeing off Iraklis in the finals.
