2012 Olympic Games - European Qualification
The first week of play for the elimination round of the European Qualification for the 2012 Olympics in London was completed yesterday in Israel where the local guys were shut down in straight sets (24-26, 20-25, 21-25) by their guests from Ukraine.
Some 700 fans got together at the “Metrowest” sports hall in Ra’anana to support the home team but Ukraine literally dominated the game in all fundamentals to claim a straight-set win in only 73 minutes of play. The return is scheduled for next September 3 and is set to take place at the “Lokomotiv” Sports Palace in Kharkiv.
