Ολοκληρώθηκαν οι προπονήσεις στον Έβρο

Το τριήμερο 2, 3 και 4 Οκτωβρίου διεξήχθη με επιτυχία η συγκεντρωτική προπόνηση της Προεθνικής Παίδων στην Αλεξανδρούπολη.
Ο ομοσπονδιακός προπονητής, Μάκης Δημητριάδης και ο περιφερειακός προπονητής, Γιώργος Τεκτονίδης, έμειναν απόλυτα ικανοποιημένοι από την προσπάθεια τον νεαρών αθλητών, στις τέσσερις προπονήσεις και στο φιλικό παιχνίδι που έγιναν.
Πολύ ενθαρρυντική ήταν η εμφάνιση που πραγματοποίησε η ομάδα στον φιλικό αγώνα με αντίπαλο τη Γ.Ε. Αλεξανδρούπολης, ομάδα με ένα πολύ καλό μίγμα νεαρών και έμπειρων αθλητών, η οποία θα πρωταγωνιστήσει στο πρωτάθλημα της Β΄ Εθνικής.
Νικήτρια στο παιχνίδι αναδείχθηκε η Προεθνική Παίδων με 3-2 (28-30, 25-22, 24-26, 25-19, 15-10).
Για τη συνέχεια έχουν προγραμματισθεί συγκεντρωτικές προπονήσεις σε επίπεδο εθνικής παίδων, σε κάθε κενό που έχουν οι αθλητές από τις μαθητικές τους υποχρεώσεις.
Οι κλήσεις πλέον θα είναι πιο επιλεκτικές ώστε να ολοκληρωθεί το τελικό σύνολο, το οποίο θα διεκδικήσει την διάκριση στο Βαλκανικό πρωτάθλημα του 2010 και κατά κύριο λόγο την πρόκριση στο Πανευρωπαϊκό πρωτάθλημα του 2011.

No doubt, Italian girls are the real queens of European volleyball!

. With a truly amazing performance against the Netherlands, Italy completed a fantastic campaign here in Poland to defend the gold medal the “Azzurre” had already seized two years ago in Luxembourg. The Italians totally dominated the scene from the beginning up to the end of the match to confirm they are the real queens of European volleyball.
The impressive and magnificent Atlas Arena was completely sold-out for the final match of the 2009 CEV Orlen European Championships featuring the teams that have been delighting the Volleyball family with their outstanding performances over the last ten days. Defending champion Italy was going to have a shot at the double whereas the Netherlands were back in contention for the gold medal match 14 years after they had notched the title at home in Arnhem, with veteran Ingrid Visser being the only player of that time still included in the roster. The final was – for the first time ever – whistled by two ladies, Zorica Bjelic and Susana Rodriguez, an additional relevant pattern to be added to an already memorable competition.
Dutch captain Manon Flier scored the first rally of the match, but immediately the “Azzurre” replied with all their personality for what promised to be a great game. Holland spiked out and Italy got the lead at the first technical break (8:7), but the teams were battling point for point with great intensity, even though some silly mistakes from the serving area marked the mid section of the set. After an incredible saving, Francesca Piccinini killed her favorite diagonal spike and a massive triple block set the tone for the second technical time-out (16:13). Setter and captain Eleonora Lo Bianco started her personal show varying the offensive solutions of her team and the Italians strengthened their confidence as well spread their margin (20:14). In the meantime the Dutch were getting shakier and shakier, especially in reception, The Italian block was totally dominating the scene and both Debby Stam and Manon Flier could not find a way to pass through that wall and the final whistle came a few seconds later for a clear 25-16.
Holland started the second set fearless and at 6:3 coach Barbolini was forced to ask for his first break; it did not work out that well since Francesca Piccinini committed a couple of mistakes, first in reception and then in attacking, to pave the way for the 8:3 orange. After having struggled a bit, Italy scored three times in a row but did not close the gap deriving from a poor opening until the “Azzurre” finally leveled at 15 and got the lead at the second break with a terrific block on Manon Flier. While the Polish fans had maintained their red and white gadgets, the organizers had also distributed orange and blue balloons to recall the traditional colors of the teams to be seen on court, thus creating a very nice and sweet atmosphere in the hall. Italy, especially with veterans Simona Gioli and former Cuba Taismary Aguero, was towering back again (21:17) and in a few minutes the set count moved to 2:0 for the defending champions.
The Italians rolled over all the way through the third set and the Dutch looked sometimes a bit lost as they could not find any tool to interrupt the Italian dominance. Aguero put an end to this Championship with an ace and the “blue” party could be finally triggered!
Jenny Barazza commented right after the last rally: “I am so excited, we are definitely a great team; we have some dazzling individual skills but is really a pleasure to be part of that group. We always know what we have to do and we always control the situation with true confidence. This fantastic atmosphere descends especially from our coach and we owe him a lot for this gold medal”.

Η Άννα Μπάρνακ –Μάριτς στον Ηρακλή

Ο Γ.Σ Ηρακλής ανακοινώνει ότι προχώρησε στην αντικατάσταση της Κουβανής Φέργκιουσον με την Άννα Μπάρνακ -Μάριτς. Αφορμή για την αντικατάσταση στάθηκε η καθυστερημένη άφιξη της Κουβανής αθλήτριας στη Θεσσαλονίκη. Έτσι γρήγορα οι παράγοντες του κυανόλευκου συλλόγου προχώρησαν στη μεταγραφή της Άννα Μπάρνακ -Μάριτς. Η νέα αθλήτρια κατάγεται από τη Σερβία, είναι 31 ετών και αγωνίζεται ως ακραία. Πρόκειται για μία αθλήτρια εξαιρετικά έμπειρη και γνώριμη στην Ελλάδα αφού τη σεζόν 2006-07 αγωνίστηκε στον Πανελλήνιο. Η Άννα Μπάρνακ -Μάριτς , γεννήθηκε στις 30 Μαρτίου το 1978 στο Βελιγράδι και ξεκίνησε την καριέρα της το 1996 στην OK Jedinstvo. Το 2001 μετακόμισε στη Γερμανία όπου και φόρεσε τις φανέλες των Γκρέγκλιγκεν, Άουγκσμπραγκ και της Δρέσδης. Τη σεζόν 2005-06 πήρε μεταγραφή στη Σλοβένικη Νόβα Γκόριτσα. Για πρώτη φορά η Άννα Μπάρνεκ αγωνίστηκε στο ελληνικό πρωτάθλημα τη σεζόν 2007-07 καθώς έπαιξε στον Πανελλήνιο. Τα δύο τελευταία χρόνια αγωνίζονταν στο γαλλικό πρωτάθλημα και πιο συγκεκριμένα στην ομάδα της Μιλούζ που αγωνίζονταν στο Τσάμπιονς Λιγκ. Και τις δύο χρονιές η Μιλούζ έφθασε μέχρι και τους τελικούς του γαλλικού πρωταθλήματος.

ΜΑΘΗΜΑΤΑ ΠΕΤΟΣΦΑΙΡΙΣΗΣ - Rolling

Τη νίκη με 3-0 σετ (26-24, 25-16, 25-16) πήρε ο ΑΡΗΣ Μαρμούρης έναντι του ΣΠΑ Καρδίτσας, στην πρεμιέρα του τουρνουά, που διοργανώνει το διήμερο αυτό η ομάδα της Θεσσαλίας. Έτσι, οι "κίτρινοι" του Γιώργου Οικονομίδη θ΄ αντιμετωπίσουν στον τελικό του τουρνουά το μεσημέρι του Σαββάτου στις 15:00 την Λαμία, η οποία επιβλήθηκε με 3-2 σετ του Πανελληνίου στο άλλο παιχνίδι της ημέρας.
Να σημειωθεί ότι ο ΑΡΗΣ Μαρμούρης αγωνίστηκε χωρίς τους άρρωστους Μιλιβόγιεβιτς και Κιόση, οι οποίοι είναι αμφίβολοι και για το ματς του Σαββάτου, αλλά και χωρίς τον Σαρικείσογλου, ο οποίος ταλαιπωρείται από ένα πρόβλημα στο πόδι του και θα μείνει προληπτικά εκτός.
Μετά το τέλος του αγώνα, ο προπονητής των "κιτρίνων", Γιώργος Οικονομίδης, τόνισε: "Παρά τα προβλήματα της τελευταίας στιγμής που αντιμετωπίσαμε, οι παίκτες μου κατάφεραν ν΄ ανταποκριθούν στις απαιτήσεις του αγώνα και μ΄ εξαίρεση το πρώτο σετ, στη συνέχεια βρήκαν τον ρυθμό τους κι έφτασαν στη νίκη. Τα τεστ αυτά είναι σημαντικά ενόψει της πρεμιέρας το επόμενο σαββατοκύριακο".

Νίκη της ΕΑΠ Λουξ επί του ΠΑΟ

Πραγματοποιώντας καλή εμφάνιση, η ομάδα της ΕΑΠ Λουξ νίκησε με 3-1 (24-26, 23-25, 25-21, 21-25) τον ΠΑΟ, σε φιλικό παιχνίδι που διεξήχθη την Παρασκευή στην Αθήνα.

Μετά το τέλος του αγώνα, ο τεχνικός της ΕΑΠ Λουξ, Γιώργος Χριστόπουλος, είπε: « Παιχνίδι με παιχνίδι βελτιωνόμαστε και αυτό είναι πολύ καλό, αυτή η σειρά των αγώνων με τον ΠΑΟ είναι πολύ ανταγωνιστική και θα κάνει πολύ καλό για την ομάδα μας.
Ακόμα δεν είμαστε απόλυτα έτοιμοι αλλά αν συνεχίσουμε έτσι, πιστεύω ότι θα είμαστε σύντομα στο επίπεδο που πρέπει».
Από την πλευρά του ΠΑΟ, ο προπονητής Στέλιος Καζάζης, τόνισε: «Δεν ήμασταν καλοί σήμερα, κυρίως σε 2 τομείς, στην υποδοχή και στο μπλοκ ενώ οι αντίπαλοι μας είχαν πολλές και εύκολες λύσεις στην επίθεση από την άκρη. Για μένα είναι φυσιολογικό αφού η ομάδα είναι κουρασμένη από τον φόρτο της προπόνησης όλη την εβδομάδα πάνω σε 3 παίκτες, κάτι που φάνηκε σήμερα».

Δεύτερη θέση για τον Ηρακλή στο διεθνές τουρνουά

Μετά από ένα συγκλονιστικό παιχνίδι που κρίθηκε στις λεπτομέρειες ο Ηρακλής ηττήθηκε με 3-0 (29-27, 25-16, 26-24 ) από την Πολωνική Σκρα Μπελχάτοφ. Με εξαίρεση το δεύτερο σετ που κατέληξε εύκολα στα χέρια των Πολωνών οι κυανόλευκοι κοίταξαν στα μάτια τη Σκρα Μπελχάτοφ που φέτος έχει ενισχυθεί σημαντικά. Ο Ολλανδός προπονητής στο συγκεκριμένο παιχνίδι έδωσε χρόνο συμμετοχής σε όλους τους αθλητές του.

Ο Χάρι Μπρόκινγκ όπως και στα προηγούμενα παιχνίδια ξεκίνησε τον αγώνα με τους συνήθεις ύποπτους. Δηλαδή με μαέστρο τον Προύσαλη, δίδυμο ακραίων τους Κάλα, Μπάρανεκ , κεντρικούς τους Κανέλλο και Κραλ, διαγώνιο τον Γκασπαρίνι και λίμπερο τον Μπαμπαλιούτα. Στα θετικά και η επιστροφή του τραυματία Ζένια Γκόρτσιανουκ που χρησιμοποιήθηκε έστω και λίγο ως αλλαγή από τον Ολλανδό τεχνικό.

Οι δύο ομάδες ξεκίνησαν πολύ δυνατά με τους κυανόλευκους να παίρνουν ένα μικρό προβάδισμα με 19-18, και 22-21. Η Σκρα ισοφάρισε σε 22-22 και το σετ πήγαινε πόντο -πόντο μέχρι και το 27-27. Πιο αποτελεσματικοί όμως στα κρίσιμα σημεία οι πρωταθλητές

Μετά και την απώλεια του πρώτου σετ , η ψυχολογία στο στρατόπεδο του Γηραιού έπεσε κατακόρυφα με συνέπεια η Σκρα να προηγηθεί με 18-12 και 21-12. Σε εκείνο το σημείο ο Χάρι Μπρόκινγκ προχώρησε σε αλλαγές βάζοντας στη θέση του Προύσαλη τον Γεωργιάδη και στη θέση του Γκασπαρίνι τον Κράβαρικ. Τελικά ο Ηρακλής έχασε το σετ με 25-16.

Όπως στο πρώτο σετ έτσι και στο τρίτο οι δύο ομάδες πήγαιναν πόντο -πόντο στο σκορ. Πιο ψύχραιμοι οι Πολωνοί απέναντι σε μία ομάδα που χρειάζεται χρόνο για να δέσει κατάφεραν να κατακτήσουν το σετ με 26-24.

Νωρίτερα η οικοδέσποινα του τουρνουά Τσεστόχοβα επικράτησε με σχετική άνεση της Εσθονικής Ταλίν με 3-0 (25:18, 25:23, 25:19). Οι Πολωνοί με εξαίρεση το δεύτερο σετ είχαν από την αρχή έως το τέλος το πάνω χέρι στο σκορ.

After some struggles Poland finally joins the Netherlands for the semis

2009 CEV Orlen European Championships

Lodz, Poland, October 1, 2009. It was quite a long day at the Atlas Arena in Lodz but finally about 13,000 Polish fans – plus many more being tuned via Polsat television – were finally able to celebrate their heroines who made it to the semifinals after having been struggling in their match against Bulgaria. The Poles also benefited of Russia’s defeat against The Netherlands that came after a thrilling five-setter and what was definitely the very best match of the tournament so far. In the semifinals slated for this Saturday the Poles will face again Holland while the Italians – who are still undefeated – will test out again the likes of Germany that came out as the real surprise of Pool F in Katowice. In the last game of the playoff round the local heroines faced Bulgaria. Only a victory could give the home team the promotion to semi finals. Bulgaria still had a chance to get the fifth place in the tournament, hence to avoid playing the qualification rounds for the 2011 Championships, but to attain that goal needed to score a 3:0. Finally it was Poland that achieved its goal beating Bulgaria 3:1 (18-25, 25-20, 25-21, 23-25). Joanna Kaczor led all scorers with 25 points. On Saturday the home team will play against the Netherlands in a battle for a place in the final match. If someone in the Atlas Arena thought it was going to be an easy match for Poland, he had to change his mind after the first set. Bulgaria played with a very solid defense and efficient attacks, while the hosts made many errors. The Poles couldn't find any rhythm. They were trailing down first at 8:7 and then 16:13 at the technical time-outs and never bounced back as Bulgaria took the set 25-18. To avoid bigger troubles, Poland had to win the second set. The home team, led by opposite Joanna Kaczor, went in front for most of the frame, but the ambitious Bulgarians didn't even think about giving up. They tied the game and when the score was 20-20, it was all open. Inspired by substitute setter Izabela Belcik, the Polish team closed the set winning the last five points in a row. Bulgaria had a flying start to the third set and led 8:2 at the first technical time-out. Poland rushed to catch up on, but couldn't level the score. The hosts trailed by two points at the second technical time-out. The break helped the Poles and they came back on the floor with high energy. The Polish block started to work finally and the audience served as a seventh player once again as Poland cruised to a 25-21 victory. After two tie-breaks in two matches earlier this day, everyone in the Atlas Arena was wondering if another one would have been necessary. The Bulgarians did everything they could to spoil the white and red party, but had no arguments. Poland took over control in the middle of the frame and kept the slim advantage till the end. After Anna Baranska's killing spike from the left wing, it was all over. The Polish team and more than thirteen thousand fans started to celebrate. Bulgarian captain Lyubka Debarlieva stated after the match: “I'm very upset we lost. Poland played good match, but I'm sad because I think we didn't believe we could win”. Bulgarian coach Dragan Nesic: “Good luck tor Poland. We played well, but it's never good to lose a game. My team had quite a good tournament and I hope in two or three years Bulgaria will join the best teams in Europe”. In spite of having lost Wednesday's match against Poland, Russia still had a chance to qualify for the semifinals. They needed to defeat the still undefeated Netherlands to make it among the best four. The Russians were very close, but didn't succeed in that task. After the best match in the tournament so far, the Netherlands beat Russia 3:2 (25-19, 19-25, 23-25, 25-19, 15-12) and made happy more than ten thousand spectators in the Atlas Arena as Poland was then likely to clinch a spot for the semis. Ekaterina Gamova of Russia scored 37 points while Manon Flier led the Dutch offense with 27 points. The last time the two teams had met on the floor was in Japan during the final round of 2009 FIVB World Grand Prix. Russia scored there a 3:0 and the Netherlands started the game with respect. For most of the set the teams were evenly matched (16:16), but then the Dutch ladies shifted into a higher gear and did what they had been doing from the beginning of the tournament. Great block-defense cooperation and efficient counter attacks gave Holland the final 25-19. In the second set Russia responded in the best possible way. Vladimir Kuzyutkin's team was one point down at the first technical time-out, but after the break Ekaterina Gamova started off her personal show. The Russian giant was unstoppable in attack and her team started gaining some advantage. Gamova scored fifteen points in this section of the game and led Russia to a convincing 25-19. It was the Netherlands' first set lost in this Championship. In the third set, the battle continued. Both teams' players fought hard for every ball and the spectators in the Atlas Arena watched some fantastic volleyball. With Gamova, Natalia Safronova and Tatiana Kosheleva as main characters, Russia managed to run away in the score (24:20), but the Netherlands staged a comeback and had a chance to tie the game. Unfortunately for the 'Oranje' the Russians had the last word and they took the set 25-23. Holland opened the fourth set with much more aggressiveness and enjoyed a four-point lead at the first technical time-out (8:4). With Kosheleva in the serving area, Russia made an impressive run and tied the score at 12. The Russians knew that if they had won this set, they would have secured a place in the semifinals. But the Dutch team had its own work to do. With the support of more than ten thousand fans in the Atlas Arena, the Netherlands cruised to the final 25-19. The fifth set was a great resume of this match. The teams went point for point until 11:11. Holland won two balls in a row and built an advantage they didn't waste. After the last point won by the Dutch team, the gym nearly exploded! Earlier this afternoon Spain beat Belgium 3:2 (23-25, 25-19, 21-25, 25-23, 15-13) and secured the ninth place in the tournament. It was a farewell game for Belgian star Virginie De Carne who finished her international career. De Carne had a busy 'good bye' as she made 92 attacks in total and got 37 points! The first set was extremely even and neither Belgium nor Spain was able to get more than two points of margin. Spanish setter Romina Lamas tried to use all of her teammates while her vis-à-vis Frauke Dirickx played mainly with Virginie De Carne. The Belgian star made 23(!) attacks in this partial, but it paid off. In the final part of the set the Belgians showed a better efficiency and took the set 25-23. In the second period, Spain led right from the start. Gido Vermeulen's team balanced attacks worked very well and they started spreading the gap. De Carne did her best, but without any help of her teammates, couldn't catch up with the rivals while Spain went on to win 25-19. After leveling the set count, the Spaniards started the third set with more confidence and jumped out to a 5:1 lead. They were 8:4 and 16:14 at the technical time-outs and it looked as if they had a full control of what was happening on the court. Belgium never gave up and thanks to their patience tied the score (20:20). The Spanish team couldn't force the Belgian block, De Carne finally got some support from her colleagues and Gert Vande Broek's team stole the set 25-21. The fourth partial was much more like the first one, but the roles were reversed. Spain and Belgium went point for point for most of the set and it was the team from the Iberian Peninsula that maintained the nerves under control in the end. The girls of Dutch-born coach Gido Vermeulen sailed to the final 25-23 to level the count once again.
